Kiente Litchmore - Executive Assistant

Picture
Kiente is pursuing a degree in the Child and Youth Studies Program at Trent in hopes to become a Special Education Resource Teacher. She wants to help students who need more creative learning styles because they have ADHD/ADD, Autism, Dyslexia etc. As a transfer student, Kiente is aware of how stressful it can be to find resources and social solidarity within a big institution. However, in her role as Executive Assistant, she hopes to make finding information such as social groups, safe spaces, school merchandise and more, easily accessible to the student body. Her goal is to make the student life a little less complicated. On her free time, Kiente enjoys Afro-Caribbean dancing. She started Caribbean dance at the age of 7 years old with Club Carib of Oshawa and continued to dance at the age of 12 years-old, being the youngest member of Dance Caribe Performing Arts Company. Since then, she has danced in Trinidad and Tobago, the Philippines for the International Dance Festival, The Pan Am Games, etc. Kiente says, "If you see me on campus feel free to say hi and ask me any questions you may have!

The TDSA is proud to support student employment and will continue to offer job positions throughout the academic year. Stay tuned to our social media and the Trent University job portal for more opportunities.
