Trent History in Community Club (THICC)
The Trent History in Community Club's (THICC) goal is to foster an environment where both students and staff can engage in academic discussions about an array of historical facts and related material, from papers and research to movies and more, ranging from Western and Eastern history to African history as well from the classical era and beyond. We offer both academic assistance and fun events throughout the academic school year, so come and see what THICC is all about!
Trent Durham Social Work Association
The Trent Durham Social Work Association is focused on community involvement, hosting fundraisers for local charities and providing students with opportunities to further their involvement in the Durham area. Any student interested in local outreach, charity, and involvement is welcome.
Trent Knitting Club
The Knitting Club provides a safe and accessible space for knitters of all skill levels to come and practice their skills and to learn new ones. Meetings are often accompanied with Netflix viewings and snacks!
Trent Vegan Society
The Trent Vegan Society is a group of people interested in practicing and sharing a lifestyle that reduces harm to Animals. The Trent Vegan Society seeks to educate others of the benefits of living a vegan lifestyle. The Vegan Society holds various events throughout the year that helps bring people together and raise money for animals in need. Keep your eyes out for posters around the school regarding events and information!
Trent Durham Women's Support Group (TDWSG)
The Trent Durham Women’s Support Group is dedicated to providing support towards women and members of the LGBTQ+ community on campus. We host feminist themed events, with our High Tea Hangouts providing time for students to relax and get to know each other in a safe space. We host fundraisers for feminist non-profits in the fall and winter semesters and we welcome all students to participate and help support some great causes.
Trent Durham Writer's Block is dedicated to creative writing and peer feedback. At the Writer's Block, students are encouraged to submit their work-in-progress pieces of prose or poetry for fellow members to provide critical insight and suggestions for their pieces, as well as the opportunity to critique others' submitted works.
