Employment and Involvement Opportunities

speech bubble: helped my dreams come true!
“Going to these events is the quickest way to get to know what’s going on… making friends has made getting to know what resources are there even easier.” -Phuong Nguyen 3rd year business student and Jim Martin award winner, Trent University Durham-GTA

Speech bubble: the help support my clubs
The TDSA hires students every year for opportunities to be employed by and get involved with the TDSA. Whether that be with our student employment positions in the TDSA, or one of the many volunteer and resume building opportunities, the TDSA provides a number of options to get involved.

Student Employment: At TDSA we have a number of paid positions, everything from the executive directors, where have the opportunity to manage people and budgets, to ambassadors and advocacy commissioners, which assist the executive directors on many projects. These employees get valuable skills in marketing, administrative work, and social media literacy, while having a chance to chase their passions and let their creative side loose.

Volunteer Opportunities: If you are looking to fill out that resume or give back to this amazing community but don't have the time for another job, we got you. TDSA has a number of events every year like semi formal, Bell let's talk and orientation activities that welcome volunteers. Looking for more? We have committees that can give you experience in everything from event planning, to human resources or budget planning. Still looking for more? We have a board of directors that operates on a volunteer basis, this puts you at the helm of the TDSA speaking on behalf of students in a great position to represent and meet some amazing and influential people.
